  1. Very impressed Paul. I love the search feature especially. The whole thing looks great.
  2. The Data Viewer widget works via an API call. i wonder if it might be easier/better to replicate this view in a FrogCode widget with just the information you need and a timed refresh. I'd love to volunteer to help with this, but I'm barely in the office for the next month. Maybe someone on the coding forums could help.
  3. Hi, That doesn't sound good. Are you free for a screen share this afternoon?
  4. Hi, We have (for a while now) produced a font with all our icons loaded in. The font-family is called frog-font-mono A couple of examples: <span style="font-size: 36px;" class="ff-analytics-mono"></span> <span style="font-size: 36px;" class="ff-frog-mono"></span> This page is auto-generated and so should be kept up to date (it should also exist on your Frog): https://www.frogcommunity.com/app/lib/vendor/frogfont/demo.html I'd suggest using CTRL+F to look for specific icons - as they're all spread out quite a bit. We also import font-awesome, although it's not the current version so some icons don't show up. https://fontawesome.com/icons?d=gallery&v=4.3,4.2,4.1.4.0,3,2,1& Note: the website supplies embed code using fas instead of the older fa class, remove the 's' to get the icons to work: <i class="fa fa-envelope"></i> App Icons There's also all the Frog application icons available. Examples: <span style="font-size: 50px; background: 0 0;" class="ui-app-icon-messages"><span class="path1"></span><span class="path2"></span><span class="path3"></span><span class="path4"></span><span class="path5"></span><span class="path6"></span><span class="path7"></span><span class="path8"></span><span class="path9"></span><span class="path10"></span><span class="path11"></span><span class="path12"></span><span class="path13"></span><span class="path14"></span><span class="path15"></span><span class="path16"></span><span class="path17"></span><span class="path18"></span></span> https://www.frogcommunity.com/app/lib/vendor/frogfont/app-icons/demo.html
  5. The options do only appear when you select Custom - yes. We have considered that - and i think version 1 won't have them so that we have this ready for Frank, but Version 2 will.
  6. We're aiming for this to be enabled as part of the next release (it won't be a widget - it will be an option on each layout box), however, there's a question we'd like to pose: When you select Custom, should any styling be applied initially? For instance, should there be a border, drop shadow, internal padding? What should it look like when you set custom to begin with? (You'll probably want to delete the existing widget once you have been updated - otherwise there'll be a clash of styles) Sneak peek:
  7. Yes - there's work being done this week infact. I've nothing i can share yet, but i can say that in the designs i've seen, the landing page will be a menu screen. However, I've also seen a development schedule with the dashboard preference development on there - so it's not gone away.
  8. Hi Chay, Sorry no one has answered your post. My best guess is that Frog pages don't really have a height - so setting the height to 100% messes up the embed code. Unfortunately I think you've already solved the problem by setting the height in pixels. You could try the Layout Looks widget to set a height for the layout box and then use height 100%. That might solve it. https://www.frogeducation.com/community/frogcode/frogcode-showcase/layoutlooks
  9. Shared folder widget pointing to a CPD library folder? That way you can include, eBooks, PDFs, Frog sites, PPTXs etc...
  10. Both widgets are based off YouTube's supplied embed code and YouTube have changed their embed options. So stuff like "Disable suggested videos" is ignored by YouTube any way. What you can do is use Groups and Policies to hide the original FrogCode widget from the widget panel - it will still be availalbe on existing pages, but should prevent confusion for users.
  11. I'm currently reworking all the Frog Templates - mainly to make sure they are making bestuse of all the new features. I'd be really interested in seeing what you've all done with your Staff and Student Dashboards. If you're willing to, please post a screengrab from your front page (and any other pages).
  12. Hi, This is something we are currently working on and hope to be able to present at the conference. I'm happy to talk in more detail - but I've very little to show right now - so would prefer to do this 1-1 rather than trying to explain in a set of forum posts - especially as it's in development.
  13. Take a look at this video, where I talk through the Parent Portal (available in Frog Templates)
  14. Could the wall widget do that? Building a plain text widget is simple enough, adding rich-text is next to impossible If you can mock up what you'd like, i'll give it a go.
  15. A form with a text area can do this already, so i'm guessing you mean something else. Is it for rich-text?
  16. I'll never admit to that, but i was frustrated when I was tring to add tel: link in the text widget.
  17. Anyone got any ideas for new FrogCode widgets*? *I can't promise anything and somethings might not be possible, but it's good to have a list to look at.
  18. While refreshing the Parent Portal in Frog Templates, i've discovered that tel: links do not triggers a phone to open the dialer. They don't seem to work consistently within the HTML widget either, so i've created Telephone Link. It's a widget where you can add a phone number, label, choose an icon and link style (text, lozenge or tile). Within advanced, you can text size and colour (and lozenge description) https://www.frogeducation.com/community/frogcode/frogcode-showcase/telephone-link
  19. The first thing you're asking for would definetly require development. If you can make an Idea on the Ideas Portal we can then factor this into future thinking. The second thing you mention is acheiveble right now. Instead of assigning the whole year group, if you add in the individual classes to the assignment, you can then create markbooks both for each class and a year group.
  20. I've had a couple of emails asking for the direct embed codes for the latest MyFrog videos: Staff and Admin (update pending) <iframe allow="autoplay; fullscreen" height="420" width="640" src="https://frog.planetestream.com/Embed.aspx?id=2648&amp;code=ax~jDlAQPAfxFlBi7T7PGxFnM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><iframe allow="autoplay; fullscreen" height="420" width="640" src="https://frog.planetestream.com/Embed.aspx?id=2486&code=ax~jClDQVAlxGlJiaT5PyxxnE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Students: <iframe allow="autoplay; fullscreen" height="420" width="640" src="https://frog.planetestream.com/Embed.aspx?id=2643&amp;code=ag~pXmeX3U0ORtnCwqSKbjfMZ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Parents <iframe allow="autoplay; fullscreen" height="420" width="640" src="https://frog.planetestream.com/Embed.aspx?id=2644&amp;code=aq~BSiIWva2p5fsaRrPWMTVfk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  21. You say that - as someone who is very capable and understands tech, but I'm very aware that we could be criticised. It's not just savvy students - it's also their parents. Having said that, we do listen and i'll raise this again. + @Matt
  22. So lots of school have asked for the ability to open the app on the dashboard. We're nervous about that as it will hit peoples data plans. Instead I'm suggesting that we look at a menu fullscreen when it's first opened. The idea is gaining traction, but i have no ETA for this yet. Notifications - watch this space Touch ID - honestly, that's never occurred to me (can't speak for anyone else) - I've no idea what's involved, but if you make an Idea Portal suggestion for it, we'll add it to the mix. George is right, assignment setting (basic - no resources or activities) is very soon.
  23. Hi Paul, My Child's Work will eventually be replaced, however the next round of development for assignments is going to be around adding reports. After that, I am keen to add student and parent views - but I know it has not been scoped as a project or scheduled. Now is a great time to let us know what you're hoping a parent view would show.
