    FrogSeats v2

Hi Tom - thanks for the response and for updating the version for me. The issue is still occurring for me though. In the console I get the following error message when trying to open a newly created seating plan. Uncaught Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: div[data-name=].seat_selected at Function.t.error (dist/bundles/lib/lib.js:304) at t.tokenize (dist/bundles/lib/lib.js:304) at Function.t (dist/bundles/lib/lib.js:304) at Function.e.find (jquery-migrate:3) at e.fn.init.find (dist/bundles/lib/lib.js:304) at e.fn.init.e.fn.find (jquery-migrate:3) at eval (eval at <anonymous> (core_controller:NaN), <anonymous>:819:33) at Array.forEach (<anonymous>) at l.eval (eval at <anonymous> (core_controller:NaN), <anonymous>:817:48) at Array.eval (dist/bundles/lib/lib.js:304) 0: "No driver instance to handle files" callee: ƒ () length: 1 Symbol(Symbol.iterator): ƒ values() __proto__: Object Any suggestions?

    FrogSeats v2

Is anyone else having issues with Seating Plans since the latest Frog release? When a new seating plan is created we are unable to open this however, it works fine for all plans created before receiving the latest Frog update. Thanks, Chris

A couple more screenshots of Staff Hubs at Holmfirth High and North Huddersfield Trust.
  4. Great widget - I've installed this on our school platform and the feedback I've had from staff has been great. A couple of bits of constructive feedback if this widget is being revisited at any stage: Ideally the year group and students form group would be listed alongside the colour coding. All students of the same year group to be grouped together. Ability for teachers to filter by their own class lists. Keep up the good work @pconkie
  5. @Graham Quince Have you heard any whispers about this one? Is this something Frog are looking at? Staff would find this incredibly useful.

    GDPR

@Graham Quince Thanks for the update. I wonder if you can confirm as a company will you simply contact all your clients with an updated contract/document that proves you are GDPR compliant or will we be required to individually contact you and query this? As a school dealing with coming close to 80 different data sharing service providers we just need a simple solution to be able to sign you off as compliant.

    GDPR

@Graham Quince are you guys compliant yet and have you got an updated user contract for clients - what are Frogs plans in terms of customers being able to sign them off as compliant?
  8. @Graham Quince is it possible to remove the currency altogether and have this as just a number target thermometer. Sorry I'm being lazy and don't want to install to find out if that's an option under 'currency'. This would be great for running software usage competitions such as using it as a GCSEPodometer!

    GDPR

Has anyone made any progress with GDPR yet? I'd be particularly interested in sharing guidance and having a discussion with anyone who is working on the full audit of data and mapping this for their school. We have made a substantial start on this and as far as I can tell we are working on the right lines however, guidance is few and far so it would be great to see how other schools are achieving this. Any contacts would be appreciated!
  10. @Graham Quince have you a downloadable copy of those my frog videos? Alternatively some embed code would be great!
  11. My understanding (although i could be wrong) is that you only have to list cookies if they are of a certain category - some of the more intrusive cookies.
  12. @S Marcham I found a useful tool to track what cookies are being used on our website - search for the Chrome extension 'Attacat Cookie Audit Tool'. Using this you can record your movements as you navigate your website and it will tell you what cookies you are using and what category they are. It's n0ot perfect but makes for a good start. If you visit www.holmfirthhigh.co.uk you can see the cookie message and summary I have pulled together (which I hope covers everything but I am no expert in website cookies!) As with all ICO guidance it includes a lot of technical lingo that you have to sift through so I also just looked at a number of businesses we work with including Frog to get some inspiration.
  13. I'm sure this was one of the first requests made when FrogLearn was launched! It is daft that we still have to use work arounds to stop top menus linking to a page. Surely a quick fix could be included within the site builder to remove the link from individual top level pages? For us we have many department websites with a pointless page for the top level page used only to hide of a list of sub category pages. We could add a menu using the text widget to each of these top level pages but when you are dealing with 10's of sites with potentially 100's of sub links this quickly becomes unmanageable!
  14. On another note when I try to close the app nothing happens and the only way to remove the window is to refresh the platform - is anyone else experiencing this?
  15. @pconkie that's great thanks. Just to confirm does the list include all a students assignments including open and closed? This will be much easier for staff to quickly check a list of assignments for an individual I have found that a number of staff find the Assignment Monitor too daunting!

    GCSE Pod

Works fine for us at Holmfirth and North Huddersfield - only thing worth mentioning make sure your staff email addresses are relevant and up to date in Frog before getting users to create their accounts or they will may set up using the incorrect one as their username. For us this went back to the days of Frog3 and the old Frogmail which staff had email addresses for that were different to their work email address.

@ADT have you tried scrolling down (possible daft question) but you seem to have the very top of the pink 'hand in assignment' button showing. I noticed that on a the app that scrolling up and down a site was very slow so I thought something wasn't there but it was just off screen.
  18. @savillecj Thanks for teh response - just to confirm is the requirement both 'Main' and 'Primary'? This student was set to 'Main' but not 'Primary' on changing to primary the email address has come across so that has resolved the issue. We use main for another function but have never required primary - it may be worth relaying this info out to schools.
  19. @Adam Thanks for the response and for looking into this - I did question this with the servicedesk some time ago and was told it just didn't update and I'd have to do this by exporting the users and re-importing (which I don't have the time to look at right now). I was initially testing this with a student account who seemed to have his parents email address in Frog rather than their own. The parents email address was added to the student email field in SIMS as an administrative error some time ago (this happened to a lot of students at the time) but when removed from SIMS nothing has been updated on Frog despite the student having their correct email address in SIMS now.
  20. Currently the Frog extractor doesn't update a users email address if one has already been imported. This causes lots of issues as parent email addresses often update within SIMS or were initially incorrect in SIMS but these changes are not reflected in Frog. Parents are then unable to receive email notifications or to reset their password if forgotten. Link below if you'd like to vote for this on the ideas portal. https://ideas.frogcommunity.com/ideas/FRG-I-1261 @Graham Quince Tagging you in case you have a quick fix or can quickly drive this one!
  21. @Ashton Taylor Looks good - Just a quick one incase this isn't covered. Staff definitely need the capability to 'Download wall' and extract a copy of the entire conversation. This will be important for evidencing feedback but also from a Safeguarding perspective. I'd also say it may be worthwhile considering how this may look with a much larger comment. If the user has entered a large paragraph you will then have a very small window to scroll through - if we could expand the box on demand this would be useful.
  22. @Graham Quince @Sean_M Thanks both - I would love the ability to be able to assign to staff this would make life much easier. I think forms will be the only viable solution for us really I'll see what the teacher thinks.
  23. A colleague of mine is looking for a way to easily ask groups of users to action something on completion of a task. An example of this would be that once a Safeguarding policy has been updated the member of staff would like staff to be able to go and tick a box to state that they have reread the policy. I was thinking about using the AUP functionality initially however, this wouldn't produce a list of users who have completed a task and would result in all users ticking the box to gain access to Frog regardless. I guess forms could work but then you'd be left with a completed form on a page once the user has submitted. Can anyone think of a better solution? @Graham Quince
  24. @Graham Quince Cheers Graham - I have to say I'd had a look at the themes and although they'd get the menu there they don't really fit the style of the site or restrict the content area to a very small width. I will probably end up doing this in the text widget which I was also trying to avoid as this will be very time consuming to do for a few hundred links in total! I will look forward to Galileo!
  25. Does anyone know of a way to easily embed a site's sub menu onto a page within that site. I am trying to streamline the navigation of a site for our Science department. See screenshot below.
