Quiz results automatically appear as evidence in progression charts?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am sure this is possible, but I can't remember how to do this. I want to be able for teachers to point students towards quizzes in Frog and then complete them and the test score turn up as evidence in the progression chart?

I have added the quiz as a  'Test quiz' on the learning locker, then linked the quiz through a Computing Department site for the students to access and complete.

I currently have learning locker disabled for students and parents, as we do not have any resources uploaded.

Any help greatly appreciated!

@Graham Q ? 😁

I think the way to do this is to assign the quiz directly from progression charts itself:

Click on -> Test Quiz,

And I think that should do it for you :) - The test quiz will be the one that you set in curriculum designer against that learning objective. You can do the same for Practice, but I don't think that adds the score.

Thank you, we have tried this, but it didn't work. When you add a 'Test Quiz' this way, you have to set it as an assignment, the teacher used a widget link to the quiz and the results didn't automatically upload. Do the students have to complete the quiz via the assignments app for this work to automatically upload?

Thank you for the help.

Oh dear - this doesn't sound right to me.

Just to confirm, are you saying the evidence does get added if the students are assigned the quiz via the progression chart?

Hi Graham, no evidence is being added automatically if a test quiz is assigned via a progression chart.

My query was if it makes a difference how the students access the quiz? Either via the assignments app, or through a Quiz widget on a site.

I'll check, but I think it has to be an assignment - as that is how we track the results of a quiz.

      Has anyone else encountered this problem on a similarly sized device?   We use the 11-inch MacBook Air and iPad.  When we make a quick assignment (specifically using Google Assignment)  the "Hand In" button is below the bottom of the screen with no ability to scroll down.   Since students are not Handing in the work the teacher has to access student work using the cumbersome back door through Google. This also affects iPads.   For quizzes. assigned directly from FrogDrive or through quick assignments we have the same problem, especially on iPads.  I was wondering why my numbers were so low at elementary since we were pushing the Championships.  Turnes out teachers had no interest since reports did not show because students literally could not hand in the quiz.

      We have had a big push with quizzes in Frog recently and lots of staff are now using these. With lots of staff using quizzes I am getting lots of requests for change - a lot of these I think are 'getting back to basics' the things that should have been in place from day one so here goes..
      Stop students being able to 'retake' a quiz
      FrogPlay quizzes are used frequently for baseline assessments and staff have requested the ability to stop students being able to 'retake' or retry individual quizzes that have been assigned.
      https://ideas.frogcommunity.com/ideas/FRG-I-1225
      Ability to 'Add new' to quiz answer boxes
      Currently when adding answers or 'dummy answers' to quizzes users are limited to just 5 options. We would like to have an 'Add new' option at the bottom so users can have as many answers as necessary.
      https://ideas.frogcommunity.com/ideas/FRG-I-1224
      Ability to extend the question editing box within the quizbuilder
      When creating a question in a quiz the box is of a limited height making it hard to work with larger paragraph based questions. Increasing the text box size or having the option to drag the box to a larger size would be very useful for staff.

      Hi all,
      is it possible to delete evidence that has been added in Frog Progress. We're new to Frog Progress and inevitably there have been one or two errors, linking videos to the incorrect assessment criteria. I can't see a way for a staff user to delete evidence.
      As an admin, I can't see an option either. Please tell me I'm just being dozy and it is possible!

      Hi All,

      I was at the fantastic Frog17 conference last week and observed the lessons that people had been able to create on sites in Frog. This then got me thinking about how you take that to the next 'level' and embed your assessment into these directly. The quizzes in frog are a big feature of how pupils can access the learning and meet KPI's. How impressive would it be if after going through a lesson on Frog they could complete the relevant quiz that would have been assigned to pupils anyway but all on the same site. They would have their starter, core lesson content, extension tasks, plenary work all culminating into the ability to complete the quiz which would then directly go as evidence to that KPI.
      Maybe this is an impossible vision or maybe not? Coders out there...is this possible? You'd just have the quiz feature without the games element. Is it just me that thinks this would be pretty awesome?
      Any thoughts more than welcome or if anyone can actually do this better still!
