  1. Things are crazy here If ever you are worried about the UK response to all this....look across the pond
  2. Is anyone else having a problem with due date changing to the day before they were set. In other words if I set a due dat for a Friday, once I click save the due date is then Thursday. I have several teachers reporting this.
  3. Has anyone else encountered this problem on a similarly sized device? We use the 11-inch MacBook Air and iPad. When we make a quick assignment (specifically using Google Assignment) the "Hand In" button is below the bottom of the screen with no ability to scroll down. Since students are not Handing in the work the teacher has to access student work using the cumbersome back door through Google. This also affects iPads. For quizzes. assigned directly from FrogDrive or through quick assignments we have the same problem, especially on iPads. I was wondering why my numbers were so low at elementary since we were pushing the Championships. Turnes out teachers had no interest since reports did not show because students literally could not hand in the quiz.

This may sound like a lot of work, however, this about teacher buy-in. We are trying to have teachers create assignments set to autoclose on the day of the exam when creating the assignment they choose "other activity" label it as an exam with any prompts needed. Under resources, review materials can be added and for evaluation set as no mark required. all this information is available via assignment calendar or via MyFrog. Hope this helps

Since you have SIMs you should not have a problem with the setup. Frog Parent combined with the MyFrog app is great. My only suggestion is to make sure your teacher buy-in with setting assignments is high.
  6. Come on now, for tech unsavvy public must have handouts
  7. @Graham Quince Unfortunately neither Planet eStream or ClickView will fill the niche we need. Additionally, they cost money and BigBlueButton is Free we even have a server already set up. We are trying to make Frog the hub for all things. BigBlueButton will be used to provide learning experiences for our student whom may not be able to attend traditional classes. We have several students with specific medical needs who would greatly benefit from this. When possible they can participate in classes virtually and when they cannot then the archive will be available. https://bigbluebutton.org/schools/
  8. Hello @Graham Quince Thank you for the support on these. RE: BigBlueButton This is actually an open source solution run by a community, here is the link to developer information http://docs.bigbluebutton.org/dev/api.html . Ideally, I was thinking that Frog could adopt it and put it into FrogLean or create an app that points to a BBB server on site. RE: Google Docs I am going to survey teachers to see preferences will get back to you asap. Cheers Eric
  9. We are still on DaVinci here in the States
  10. Idea FRG-I-1264 https://ideas.frogcommunity.com/ideas/FRG-I-1264 Student submits a Google Activity and permission changes to Comment instead of can view. Teachers that I work with love using Frog and Google together. Frog manages the workflow and Google provides the collaboration and the ability to see who did what. When students submit work, Frog says to Google change the permission to can view only. This is ideal except when the teachers are using the comment function. Students cannot see comments unless the permission level is set to comments. The teacher can change this, it is only about 6 clicks. Multiply that by the 130 students the average secondary teacher sees in a day and it is no longer a small chunk of time. I propose that when the assignment is made. The teacher will be able to select the behavior of the permission change "can view only" or "comment." Idea FRG-I-1265 https://ideas.frogcommunity.com/ideas/FRG-I-1265 Video conferencing for Distance Learning Video conferencing is a crucial part of education and should be part of any LMS Here in the states we are looking at BigBlueButton bigbluebutton.org This is an open source solution that many of the big LMS players here in the states are using. (ex. Canvas, Schoology, Moodle, Sakai) Would like to see Frog work out a 3rd party integration or somehow include it into FrogLearn.

    Big Blue Button

Hello everyone. We are looking for a way to integrate Big Blue Button in FrogLean. I am wondering if anyone is using this and if so how did you integrate it into Frog? Cheers Eric
  12. The tadpoles at our school have a hard time logging in. I have already suggested a graphical login but this (QR Codes) might be even better. I was going to add it myself when it turns out @Graham Thorpe had added it. Vote if you can at the link below if you agree. https://ideas.frogcommunity.com/ideas/FRG-I-991
  13. For your consideration: I saw this on a competitors platform. The teacher activates peer review and student clicks a button and they receive fellow students work. The reviewer and reviewee remain anonymous to each other. Ideally, Students would use Frog Feedback for this to work. https://ideas.frogcommunity.com/ideas/FRG-I-1249
  14. Brilliant!!! Must..... have..... now
