Can I also have this @Graham Quince
-
I'll give it a go

Hi all,
I was talking to some of our sixth form students on Friday who regularly use their mobiles to access resources. One of the students showed me an issue she's having when navigating department sites. I've attached a video to show you.
As you can see, from the student dashboard she chooses 'Science' and then finds her resource, however, when she closes the document preview box, it jumps back to the student dashboard and not to the site she was on.
Can this be fixed?

Another genius one Paul! @Graham Quince - can we have it if Paul is willing to share?
-
This is great - can it be shared
-
Usually if this happens, I clear the browser cache and it's fine!

Now we have 'Embed Site' I think if the back button only works for site pages doesn't matter that much.

Currently looking to redesign our dashboards for Sep - anyone wish to share their current ones?

I think this would help with navigation too as users still click the back button in the browser.

I would rather have assignments vs. Homework. In the US we see these as two very different things and there are policies that use the word homework. I use this in class as well as to give students homework so the more inclusive "Assignments" is a better choice.
I think the option to change terminology in the platform would be the best way forward then!

Now that you can embed the assignments apps in pages, can you use that method with a text widget to set your own titles? That way you can create a use experience which more or less removes the assignment terminology.
We could do this however, you still get 'Assignment Manager' as the app title and the word 'Assignment' littered throughout it.

Hi all,
No one seems to like the ‘Assignments’ terminology here!
Is there a way we can make every ‘Assignments’ word turn into ‘Homework’. Not sure if this can be done!- 1

This would be a nice little addition - maybe some thoughts about the settings in the external link widget. It could become a generic 'Link' widget which could then have options for External website, sub page, Frog site etc.

Could you add a short form to the page which has a tick box for the parent to tick and submit acknowledging they've read it?
We thought of that. It's probably worth doing however a parent could just tick it and not read it. It would be nice if we had a form for them to submit which then displays the report, however I don't think that's possible!

Hi all,
Just re-visiting this - has anyone managed to find a way of knowing which parents have downloaded the reports or viewed the page? We can see who has logged in but can't see who has looked at the reports.

Thanks for everyone's help. I have created a portfolio for each student and send the files to them. All done now!

Thanks Paul. There are a few bits I'd like to hide but my HTML skills are at 0% so I have no idea what I'm looking for!

Each grey column represents a day. The width of a day comes from the available app width and the earliest issue date and latest due date in the assignments returned from the api.
The yellow rectangles are assignments scaled and sized so their width is equal to the number of days the recipients had to complete it.
Assignments assigned to individuals are ignored (we removed the ‘convert to individuals’ button on the create assignments screen about a year ago) Those assigned to multiple recipients are shown for each recipient.
The yellow rectangles are hoverable to reveal assignment title and clickable to open the assignment (site view).
So at a glance eg Head of Department can see that 1 of 10 yr11 classes has far fewer assignments set etc
it needs a bit more work...
@pconkie How did you remove the 'convert to individuals' button? Thanks

We have created a feedback generator in Excel for Maths students. It tells them how well they are doing in each topic. It then get's made into a PDF for each student. See one attached for an example.
If I was to go to the 'Send copy to' option, where would that appear?
Thanks guys

Hi all,
Here is my question ... I have a PDF file for every Year 10 student. Was is the best way to distribute this through Frog without anyone seeing eachothers?
-
Very popular! Much easier to manage this way

Have you shared it yet? I'm not sure if you need it to be shared for it to appear
